Raw materials: sawdust, wood shavings, rice husk and straw

The wood sawdust briquetting machine is built for common agricultural and woodworking waste. Four feedstocks cover most buyers’ situations:

• Sägemehl from sawmills and furniture shops
• Wood shavings from planing and molding work
• Reisschale from rice mills
• Stroh from grain harvesting

These materials can also be blended before pressing — for example, sawdust mixed with a little rice husk — to suit the burn quality you want from the final rods.

One requirement matters more than the rest: moisture at around 20%. Too dry and the material will not hold together coming out of the mold; too wet and the rods will not set properly. Material straight from a wet sawmill usually needs drying, while coarse offcuts need crushing first — both are simple to add (see below).

Why hydraulic forming needs no additives

Many wood sawdust briquetting machines rely on the heat of a screw extruder to soften lignin and glue the particles together.

Do you need a crusher and a dryer paired with a briquette machine?

This is the most common production-line question, and the answer depends only on the material you already have:
