A client from Nigeria placed a complete two-machine order with Shuliy: an SL-1500 wheel mill for grinding and mixing, and an SL-160 coal briquette machine fitted with a CNC cutting system, a 1.5 m conveyor and a hexagonal-shaped mold. We also included two extra molds free of charge. Together, the two machines cover powder preparation and rod extrusion in one flow: the wheel mill outputs 600–800 kg per hour of evenly mixed material, and the extruder turns it into 500 kg per hour of hexagonal coal rods, ready for drying and sale.

Why the wheel mill comes before the charcoal briquette extruder
Most coal briquette extruder problems do not start at the screw — they start in the powder. If the binder is not evenly distributed, the pressed rods crack during drying, or break as they leave the mold.
The wheel mill solves this by kneading the coal powder and binder together under the rolling wheels: it crushes lumps, wets every particle with the binder film, and densifies the mix in a single step, so the material reaching the extruder is uniform and plastic.
There is also a capacity reason for pairing these two models. The SL-1500 wheel mill processes 600–800 kg per hour, while the SL-160 extrudes 500 kg per hour. The mill therefore always holds a small buffer of prepared material, keeping the extruder fed continuously instead of running in start-stop cycles — which is exactly how stable rod quality is maintained over a full working day.

Configuration that decides the daily output
The SL-160 was shipped as a working set, not a bare machine. The CNC cutting system cuts rods to any length from 3 cm to 40 cm by programmed measurement, so the customer can switch between retail and wholesale sizes without touching a blade. The 1.5 m conveyor carries freshly cut rods away from the die face, cutting manual handling and preventing the rods from deforming while still hot.
The machine extrudes through a hexagonal shaped mold, the standard profile for coal rods in the region. Because a replacement or custom mold normally takes 7–10 days to produce and ship, our gift of two additional molds lets the customer change shape or keep a spare on site without stopping production. Both machines were prepared for sea freight to Nigeria, with package dimensions and weights confirmed for container loading.
